WHO: Tech Ninja Team is for kids in 7th-12th grade from across the south suburbs of Chicago. We have team members from HF High School, James Hart, Parker Junior High, and Infant Jesus of Prague. Tech Ninja Team has been competing since 2015. Organizational sponsors include Homewood Science Center and Schneider Electric. Many individuals have made generous contributions to our team as well. Meet our coaches: Mark Matthews and Cameron Nelson. Parents are always welcome to volunteer!

WHAT: Tech Ninja Team is the HF Robotics competition team. We participate in the robotics league FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). Every year, we are up against a new challenge on the field. We work together to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge with other teams participating in FTC.

When we are not in competition season, we fundraise at community events and volunteer our time and talents at Homewood Science Center's STEM Saturdays.

WHEN: The competition season runs August - February. Tech Ninja Team practices are usually Friday and Sunday evenings. We tend to add additional days of practice as the competition approaches. Competitions are held on the weekend.

WHERE: Practices are held at Homewood Science Center, 18022 Dixie Highway in Homewood, IL. Competitions are held at various locations, TBD.
