Community Celebration - Creative Placemaking Project Ribbon Cutting

Come celebrate Homewood Science Center’s new Creative Placemaking Project during a FREE Community Celebration on Thursday, August 6, from 6–8 p.m.

Explore a transformed space where art, science, and nature come together through:
🎨 A stunning new mural created by artist Janelle Dunlap and our high school STEAM Team
🌼 An expanded Pollinator Garden
🐝 Interactive bee-themed installations
🔬 New hands-on exhibits in our STEAM Studio
🎨 Family activities, live art demonstrations, refreshments, and FREE DQ Dilly Bars!

Inspired by Illinois’ newly designated Black-and-Gold Bumble Bee, these new spaces invite children and adults to explore, create, and discover together.
