As Homewood Science Center celebrates its 10th anniversary, we invite our community to join us for our biggest fundraiser of the year—SUMMER Fest 2026.
For a decade, Homewood Science Center has inspired curiosity, creativity, and discovery through hands-on STEM experiences for children and families throughout Chicago’s Southland. What began as a vision to make STEM education accessible to all has grown into a thriving community resource serving thousands of students each year through field trips, STEM Saturdays, summer camps, conservation programs, Girls STEAM Celebration, and innovative initiatives like Math Magic and creative placemaking projects.
This milestone year is both a celebration and an opportunity. Support from SUMMER Fest sponsors, donors, and attendees helps ensure that Homewood Science Center can continue expanding access to high-quality STEM learning experiences, particularly for students and families who might not otherwise have these opportunities.
On Thursday, July 23, 2026, friends, supporters, educators, community leaders, and STEM advocates will gather at Idlewild Country Club for an evening of celebration, connection, and impact. Guests will enjoy great food, exciting auction packages, raffles, and stories showcasing how Homewood Science Center is making a difference in the lives of local children and families.
