Homewood Science Center is proud to share its 2025 Annual Report, marking a significant milestone and the beginning of a year-long celebration of our 10th anniversary.

The 2025 Annual Report highlights a year of remarkable growth and impact. From expanding field trip programs serving more students than ever before, to welcoming nearly 4,000 household visits through STEM Saturdays, to deepening community partnerships and, with the support of our community, launching innovative programs like Math Magic and creative placemaking projects that bring STEM learning to life.

As we reflect on ten years of impact, we also look ahead with excitement. This anniversary year will celebrate the people and partnerships that have shaped Homewood Science Center—from our dedicated educators and volunteers to the generous donors and community leaders who believe in our mission.

2025 Annual Report

We are thrilled to welcome you to our newly launched website of Homewood Science Center!
This new digital home reflects who we are, what we value, and the extraordinary community we
have built together over the past ten years. What began with a bold vision — supported by the
Village of Homewood and embraced by families across Chicago’s south suburbs and beyond—
has grown into a vibrant hub of curiosity, connection, and opportunity.

We have welcomed families through our doors for STEM Saturdays, where very young children
experience the wonder of hands-on discovery for the first time. We have watched toddlers
become confident elementary school learners — asking deeper questions, solving bigger
problems, and seeing themselves as scientists, engineers, and creators.

At Homewood Science Center, learning is not a moment. It is a journey.

Our programs are intentionally designed to spark interest, deepen understanding, and build
lasting confidence in science and STEM practices. As children grow, they return again and
again — developing skills, friendships, and a sense of belonging. Families connect not only to
science, but to one another. A true community of learners has taken root here.

collaboration, concentration, laughter, and discovery.

This new website celebrates our incredible team — educators, volunteers, board members,
partners, and supporters — whose dedication makes every program meaningful and every child
feel seen. Their passion and expertise are the heart of what we do.

As we celebrate ten years of inspiring scientific wonder, learning, and pursuit, we are also
looking ahead. The next decade promises even more innovation, expanded access, and deeper
impact for children and families across the Chicago Southland.
